George Lawrence Record (1859 - September 27, 1933) was a lawyer and candidate for Governor of New Jersey and United States Senator.[1]
He was born in Auburn, Maine in 1859. Republican candidate for the New Jersey Senate, 1901; Republican candidate for New Jersey General Assembly, 1908; Republican candidate for U.S. Representative from New Jersey, 1910; delegate to Republican National Convention from New Jersey, 1912; Presidential Elector for New Jersey, 1916; candidate for U.S. Senator from New Jersey, 1918 (Republican primary), 1924 (Progressive). He died from a cerebral hemorrhage on September 27, 1933 in the State Street Hospital in Portland, Maine. He was buried in New York Bay Cemetery.[2]
